EOC Risk Assessment
Ealing Outdoor Club is run by volunteers and the walks and weekends away are organised on a voluntary basis. As such everyone taking part in the activities of the Club does so at their own risk. Ealing Outdoor Club will not be held responsible for any accident, injury, damage or loss occurring as a result of any Ealing Outdoor Club event, or in connection with travel to any such event, however caused.
The Ealing Outdoor Club Policy on Risk is designed to maximise everyone's safety. A key component of this, and a requirement for our insurance cover, is a Risk Assessment.
It is particularly important for walking/cycling leaders and trip organisers to clearly understand the contents of, and to follow the guidelines in, the EOC Risk Assessment.
However, members are all responsible for their own safety during club activities which makes it important for everyone to familiarise themselves with the Risk Assessment so that they can be as safety-conscious as possible and look after their own and other members' welfare while enjoying the outdoors.
